FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will Sarah’s Sugar Scrubs have other collections?

Absolutely! Sarah’s journey is just getting started.

Coming soon is our Captain’s Collection, also known as Daddy’s Collection, featuring products created especially with Dad in mind, including beard oils and nourishing balms.

We also have two additional collections in the works featuring bath bombs and lip scrubs.

We’re excited to keep creating, experimenting, and bringing new ideas to life.

2. How long should my sugar scrub last?

When used as recommended 1–2 times per week, your sugar scrub should typically last approximately 2–3 months, depending on the size purchased and how much you use each time.

A little goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more as needed.

3. Is oil building on top of my scrub normal?

Yes. Sarah’s Sugar Scrubs are anhydrous, which means they are formulated without added water and contain oil-based ingredients.

Because of this, you may occasionally notice some oil collecting on the surface of your scrub. This does not automatically mean that your product has gone bad.

Simply use the provided spatula to gently stir the scrub before use.

To help keep your scrub in its best condition, always keep water out of the jar and close the container when you’re finished using it.

If you notice an unusual odor, significant discoloration, mold, or another unexpected change in the product, discontinue use.

4. Can I eat my sugar scrub?

We know our scrubs can look and smell delicious, but please do not eat them.

Sarah’s Sugar Scrubs are cosmetic products made for external use only. They are not food products, even though they may contain ingredients that sound familiar from the kitchen.

5. Can I use my sugar scrub on my face?

No. Our sugar scrubs are made specifically for body use and should not be used on the face.

They are intended for use from the neck down, including areas such as the elbows, knees, shoulders, hands, and feet.

Avoid using the scrub on broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.

6. How do I use my sugar scrub?

Using the provided spatula, scoop a small amount of scrub and apply it to damp skin.

Gently massage in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Follow with your favorite moisturizer if desired.

Remember to keep water out of the jar and close the container when you’re finished.

7. How often should I use my sugar scrub?

We recommend using your sugar scrub 1–2 times per week as part of your body-care routine.

Everyone’s skin is different, so listen to your skin and adjust your routine as needed. Avoid over-exfoliating, particularly if your skin is sensitive.

8. How should I store my sugar scrub?

Store your scrub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Keep the jar closed when not in use, and most importantly, keep water out of the jar.

Use the provided spatula to scoop your product rather than introducing wet hands or water into the container.

9. Why might my scrub look slightly different from another jar?

That’s part of the charm of handmade products.

Sarah’s Sugar Scrubs are made in small batches, so slight variations in color, texture, scent, and appearance may occur from one batch to another.

Your scrub may not look exactly like the product photos or another jar you’ve purchased, but those little differences are a natural part of something being handmade.

10. Is Sarah’s Sugar Scrub suitable for sensitive skin?

Our scrubs are formulated for body use, but everyone’s skin is different.

If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, we recommend performing a small patch test before full use. Avoid using the product on broken, irritated, or sensitive areas.

If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use.

11. Can I add water to my sugar scrub to make it softer?

Please do not add water directly to the jar.

Because our scrubs are formulated without added water, introducing water into the container can affect the product and may increase the risk of contamination.

If your scrub feels firm, simply scoop out a small amount with the provided spatula and work it between your damp hands or massage it directly onto damp skin.

12. What is your return and refund policy?

Because Sarah’s Sugar Scrubs are personal-care products, we take hygiene and product safety seriously.

For that reason, opened or used cosmetic products generally cannot be returned. Please review our complete Return & Refund Policy before placing your order for information about eligible returns, refunds, damaged products, or order issues.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue and help.
